Unit 24: Lord Of The Rings Screen Play Adaptation Worksheet 


The following piece of work is a list of different roles needed when producing a film like also including what they do and who they work for. 


Commissioning editors (Film and TV):

Commissioning editors are people who show promising talent for commission writers. They actively the best new writers around  looking at treatments. Also sorting the good parts of the work and bringing them forward.


Producers:

The producer is the person who does more or less all the work for example making sure that all the work come together correctly, everything is in place and on time and that everything stays in the budget. The producer is the one that holds the most responsibility or the production.
The executive producer is in charge of the producer most like a well know producer and there name would the film kudos.


Director:

The director as overall creative control of the production.


Script editor:

The script editors are there to make sure that they script dialogue make sense throughout the production.


Agent (Film & TV):

An agent is who helps their Artist whether it be an Actor/Actress or Singer all of which do tend to need an agent to help them find a work also helping with the promotion of there Artist.
